Featured Creative of the Month: Thibaut Falgairette

Thibaut Falgairette, born in 1984 in Marseille, is a french composer and music producer living in Switzerland. He founded Swiss Media Productions in 2022, a production company specialised in music for Media such as Films, Series, Documentaries, Animations, Video Games or Podcasts.

Former student of the ATLA school and the The Sorbonne University of Paris, he learned with masters such as Claude Worms, Alexis Didier, Renato Velasco, or Jacques Labarriere. He studied guitar and harmonics in Switzerland with André Decosterd before passing an AVCEM degree in harmony at the Jazz School of Lausanne : EJMA.

Various professional projects oversee his career, from co-directing and co-writing albums such as Je vous imagine (Michel-2008), Sacrifice (Esther Lis-2010), Robynson and the Passengers of Dreams (Robynson-2012), or The Story of Don Pedro (2014) and Always (2016) by the same artist.

Between these works, the introduction of the tetralogy "Sounds Of Life" was born in December 2009, a personal album, with lounge and classical accents.

The second part of the saga took off in 2013, notably through the composer's collaboration with the flautist super-soloist of L'Opéra de Paris, Frédéric Chatoux. The third album, Sounds Of Life, The Journey of Iphigenia, released as a double-album in early March 2018, presents, thanks to a superb collaboration with the virtuoso violinist Mélodie Pican and the pianist prodigy and singer, Imelda Gabs, winner of the Montreux Jazz Academy, a new adventure, rich in harmony and emotions.

The conclusion of the tetralogy is currently being composed concurrently with new works intended for Film and Video Games Scoring and the creation of pieces for the epic choir and symphonic orchestra Tale Of Fantasy.

Thibaut is the guitarist and banjoist of the Irsh-Flok-Klezmer band Ourragang.
